Features & Benefits
1Fully Automatic OperationSwitch on and start hunting.
The Gold Monster 1000 handles the hard setup for you. Auto ground balance (Easy-Trak), automatic noise cancel on start-up and automatic sensitivity mean you can get going quickly, with an easy quick start. Digital electronics and a faster processor do the heavy lifting behind the scenes.
Why it matters: new prospectors can find gold without a steep learning curve.
2Extra Sensitive 45 kHz VLFBuilt to boost your chances on gold.
An 18 kHz detector will normally have a depth advantage on nuggets greater than 1.0g over a basic mid-frequency detector, and a 71 kHz detector will have a depth advantage on nuggets less than 0.1g.
This advanced machine uses an intermediate 45 kHz frequency and a high-speed 24-bit signal processor. This primary combination greatly boosts sensitivity to gold beyond that of other single-frequency VLF detectors over a wide range of nugget sizes, without introducing excess noise and false signals.
Why it matters: strong sensitivity across a wide range of nugget sizes, without the extra noise.
3Gold Chance IndicatorA simple high or low signal on every target.
The Minelab Gold Monster Metal Detector also has improved ferrous/non-ferrous discrimination and copes better with conductive (salty) soils than higher frequency detectors, making it the perfect choice to maximize your gold discovery!
Why it matters: the Gold Chance Indicator (high/low) helps you decide what is worth digging.
4Two Detect ModesChoose Gold or Deep All-Metal.
Gold (Iron Reject) mode helps you ignore iron while you search for gold. Deep All-Metal mode gives you an all-metal response for deeper searching. Sensitivity is flexible too, with manual levels 1 to 10, plus Auto (11) and Auto+ (12).
Why it matters: one detector for tidy ground and for tougher, more mineralized ground.
5Waterproof Coil and Lightweight BuildRainproof control box, waterproof coil and shaft.
The coil and shaft are waterproof to 1 m (3 ft), and the control box is rainproof. At just 1.33 kg (2.94 lbs), excluding battery, it's comfortable on long days out. The Gold Monster 1000 includes the GM05 5" Double-D search coil with cover.
Why it matters: hunt creeks, wet ground and fresh-water edges, and keep going when it rains.
6Flexible Power and AudioLi-ion included, AA batteries optional.
Two 7.2 V / 2700 mAh removable lithium-ion packs are included. You can also run it on 8 AA batteries (not included). Listen through the internal speaker or plug in 3.5 mm (1/8") headphones, and set the volume across 6 levels to suit your hearing.
Why it matters: swap in a fresh battery and keep hunting.
Easy-to-Use Controls
- Gold Chance Indicator: high or low
- Detect modes: Gold (Iron Reject) and Deep All-Metal
- Sensitivity: manual, plus two auto options: Auto and Auto+
- Volume: 6 levels, to suit your hearing
- Waterproof coil (to 1 m / 3 ft): rainproof control box
