Just received my first real metal detector! Could wait to get it charged up and go. Only able to be out for a few minutes but am excited to get to some print locations and start a collection of treasures. My first coin was a 1975 penny that my brothers or I dropped when playing football in the back yard way back then. No more just watching YouTube. I’m going to be out there. I have been searching websites to buy the M15 coil since September and Modern Metal Detectors was the 1st site to offer it. I even contacted Minelab USA to find out who have them available to purchase. They responded with limited distribution started in November due to high demand. I am happy to finally received mine and still have a chance to hunt before winter sets in.

So far so good! I like the fact that the detector is a lot lighter than the old Sovreign I have been using. It is a little bit more complicated to use. I suggest downloading the user manual.

I bought the ACE 400 as a Christmas gift for my son in-law. They live near a popular Atlantic Ocean beach. He talked about trying a little treasure hunting along the coast. No one has had the opportunity to use it as it is sitting underneath the Christmas tree waiting to be unwrapped. I will say that the price, the speed of delivery , and follow up from the company has been excellent.

Minelab Pro-Find 35 Pinpointer

So far the Vanquish 540 is so easy to use out of the box. Currently experimenting around the house and finding all sorts of iron. Nails, shovels, random cans. Learning the ID numbers and the vanquish searching for all metals at once is so nice. Definitely have a lot to learn but the Vanquish is making it easy.
