Our goal is to keep the ordering process as simple as possible.

We offer free shipping on orders over $250.

Shipping times vary from 1 to 4 days on average.

Order Confirmation:

• You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after placing your order. This means we have authorized your credit card and are preparing your order for shipment.
• As soon as we receive your order, we contact our warehouse to confirm it is in stock and available for immediate shipment.
• If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will contact you via email.
• If your item is available for immediate shipment, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Order Shipment:

• If your order is in stock and your credit card is approved, your order will ship within 1–2 business days.
• Tracking information will be sent within 24 hours to the email provided at checkout.
• All orders require a signature upon delivery.
• We ship daily via UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, and Freight to the lower 48 states.
• Most orders placed before 1 PM MST ship the same day (some exceptions apply).
• Shipping is included for ground orders to the lower 48 states. AK & HI ship at an additional cost.
• A phone number is required for freight deliveries to schedule an appointment.
• Failure to provide a phone number may delay delivery and may result in storage fees.
• We do not offer Cash on Delivery.
• We do not ship to PO Boxes.

Inspecting Damages:

• Please inspect packaging when your items arrive.
• If your item arrives damaged, email photos to support@modernmetaldetectors.com and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.

Cancellations & Refunds:

• Orders canceled after payment are subject to a non-refundable card processing fee of 2.6% to cover payment processor costs.
• If your item is on backorder and you cancel before shipment, the 2.6% processing fee applies.
• If your order has shipped, you are responsible for return shipping and a 15% restocking fee applies.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Backorders:

• If a product is out of stock, we will notify you immediately with the expected arrival time and available substitutes.
• Arrival times may change due to shipping delays or manufacturing issues.
• You may choose to keep, substitute, or cancel your order if arrival times change.
• Once backorders arrive, they will ship and tracking will be emailed.

Shipping from Abroad & Import Duties – USA Customers:

Please Read Before Purchasing

Customers are responsible for any import taxes, customs fees, tariffs, or duties. You will be contacted before delivery once the item reaches the United States to arrange payment of applicable fees.

• Vertex – Germany
• BR Systems – Turkey

Freight LTL Shipment

If you purchased a large or heavy item (such as a walk-through metal detector), your item will ship freight with lift-gate service.

1. The freight dispatcher will call to schedule a delivery appointment.
2. You must be present during the delivery window to sign.
3. Delivery windows are typically 8 AM–12 PM or 12 PM–4 PM.
4. Please ensure your phone number at checkout is correct.
5. Do not screen calls until delivery is complete.
6. Freight delivery includes one driver and curbside placement only.
7. Keep all original packaging and pallets if returning the item.

Freight Damage Procedure:

• Inspect immediately with the driver present.
• Note any damage on the carrier paperwork.
• If unable to inspect immediately, write: "Carton damage, subject to inspection".
• Inspect contents within 48 hours and report damage to the carrier.
• If packaging damage is severe, refuse shipment and notify us immediately.

Carton packaging has excessive damage to the exposed product:

• Refuse shipment
• Sign the carrier paperwork: “Carton damaged and refused.”
• Notify Modern Metal Detectors immediately.
