Fishers SCAN-650 is a high-performance scanning sonar system that can be put on an ROV or used from a small boat in shallow water when pole-mounted. The scanning sonar functions as an obstacle avoidance and target identification device. The sonar beam sweeps in a 360-degree circle (or a subset of 360), allowing any item inside the sonar's "field of vision" to be viewed on the computer monitor. In common use, the sonar head or transducer is installed on top of a remotely operated vehicle (ROV). The head "sees" targets in all directions, even those well beyond the camera's range. The topside computer displays the sonar pictures.
Package Includes
Using the sonar for direction bearings, the operator navigates the ROV to various targets for identification and video recording. Along with the GPS location, time, and date of the vessel, scanned data files are kept on the hard disk of the computer. The recorded files are available for playback at any time. Software is given for data post-processing, including file editing and merging. Small file parts, such as screenshots, can be extracted and emailed as a compact file. The program includes a tool that enables the operator to decide the size of the on-screen targets. Included in the system package is the sonar head with "downstairs" electronics, cable, surface sonar processor, software, and A/D board for your computer. The A/D board considerably reduces the time required for data transfer to the computer, hence increasing the sweep rate (takes less time to complete each sweep). - If your item is on backorder and you cancel before shipment, the 2.6% processing fee applies.
- If your order has shipped, you are responsible for return shipping and a 15% restocking fee applies.

Backorders:

If you purchased a large or heavy item (such as a walk-through metal detector), your item will ship freight with lift-gate service.

- Delivery windows are typically 8 AM–12 PM or 12 PM–4 PM.
- Please ensure your phone number at checkout is correct.
- Do not screen calls until delivery is complete.
- Freight delivery includes one driver and curbside placement only.
- Keep all original packaging and pallets if returning the item.
Freight Damage Procedure:
- Inspect immediately with the driver present.
- Note any damage on the carrier paperwork.
- If unable to inspect immediately, write: "Carton damage, subject to inspection".
- Inspect contents within 48 hours and report damage to the carrier.
- If packaging damage is severe, refuse shipment and notify us immediately.
Carton packaging has excessive damage to the exposed product:
- Refuse shipment
- Sign the carrier paperwork: “Carton damaged and refused.”
