I bought my wife her first metal detector over 25 year's ago It was a White. It still works like a charm, but I thought it was time for an update. Since White metal detectors are gone I started to research the current available companies. I looked at Minelab's, Garrett's and a few others. I settled on a Minelab 700 and I like to buy from individual companies rather than Amazon. You normally get better customer service. There were also a few extra items offered with the Minelab. This should make a great 62 birthday present for her. We look forward to getting the metal detector this week. Best Wishes and thank you for your email
