Haven't had a chance to use it yet but very excited to give it a try since carrying a scuba tank on my back after 5 spinal surgeries is out of the question. So far I like what I see and have heard about this system and it should be perfect for my intended use of just off shore shallow diving. I bought the dual package so my grandson can take a cert class and then join me diving for some easy stuff on our Maui trips yearly. I like the convenience of the backpack, the light weight and that you can fly with it.

Upgrading to manticore

Detecting for a number of years. Always find items but never any real prizes. Now I can’t blame the equipment.
Pretty steep learning curve to use all the features. So far after several trips to the field mostly to train myself I really like the machine. I’m just scratching the surface.

The GM2K came soon after I got a notice from Minelab that they were back in stock. I tested it with some nuggets I had on hand and It was working fine. I live in Utah and there's no real place to use it for a test, but planning a trip soon.

As far as the detector itself I would love to lie and say it’s not worth the money ( only because that leaves more gold for me) but it’s an amazing unit.
I only wish I could’ve received a bundle with digging tools or something like some of the cheaper models offered. No complaints only more wants…
