Features & Benefits
1Multi-IQ TechnologySeveral frequencies working for you at once.
Multi-IQ is Minelab's True Simultaneous Multi-Frequency technology. It gives you the combined power of multiple detectors in one, all working at once. Think of it as shining several flashlights on the ground at the same time, except the flashlights are frequencies. Gold, silver, relics or jewelry, in parks, fields or on the beach, nothing goes undiscovered and no terrain is off limits.
Why it matters: one detector that adapts to the ground you're hunting, without constant retuning.
2Iron ControlSeparate the good targets from the bad.
The X-Terra Elite gives you a 25-level Iron Volume and 4 levels of Iron Bias, so you can take charge of your hunt. Add the 119-segment Target ID range and you can decide what to dig and what to leave in the ground.
Why it matters: fewer junk digs and a better chance of hearing good targets near iron.
3Fully Waterproof and LightweightHunt the beach, shallow water and long days in the field.
The X-Terra Elite is waterproof to 5 meters (16 ft, IP68). That's deeper than a 6-foot-tall person is tall, so wet ground and shallow water are fair game. It weighs just 1.3 kg (2.9 lbs), and the 20-hour internal battery keeps up with a full weekend of hunting.
Why it matters: less arm fatigue, and rain or surf won't end your hunt.
4Two Coils in the BoxBe ready for any terrain.
The Expedition Pack comes with two waterproof coils: the V12X 12" x 9" Elliptical Double-D for covering ground, and the V8X 8" x 5.5" Elliptical Double-D for tight, trashy spots. The V10X 10" x 7" Elliptical Double-D is available separately, and all EQUINOX series coils also work with the X-Terra Elite.
Why it matters: swap coils to match the site instead of buying a second detector.
5Simple to UseEasy for new hunters, quick for experienced ones.
The big LCD screen and simple user interface make it easy to get started right away and to fine-tune your settings in the field.
Why it matters: less time in menus, more time with the coil on the ground.
6Hunt After DarkLighting and vibration for dawn, dusk and night hunts.
The day may end, but your hunt doesn't have to. A control pod flashlight, red backlit display, backlit keypad and handgrip vibration keep you detecting after the sun goes down.
Why it matters: a lit keypad and screen mean fewer mistakes in low light.
7Loud, Clear AudioSpeaker, wired or wireless, your choice.
Low-latency audio comes through the built-in speaker. You can also use wired 1/8" (3.5 mm) headphones, Minelab ML85 or ML105 wireless headphones, or Minelab Waterproof Equinox Headphones.
Why it matters: hear every target clearly, however you like to hunt.
Pre-Programmed Search Modes
- Park (x2): Multi-IQ, with optional 15 kHz single frequency
- Field (x2): Multi-IQ, with optional 15 kHz single frequency
- Beach (x2): Multi-IQ multi-frequency
- Custom profiles: save up to 6 of your own
Who It's For
The X-Terra Elite is for hunters who want serious Multi-IQ performance without a complicated machine. It suits you if you hunt parks, fields, and beaches, want to stay out in wet conditions, and like having iron control and a lightweight swing for long days. Two coils in the box mean you're covered for both open ground and tight, trashy spots.
